Championship Report
MMS has had an
astounding 2008 season. The Tag World Championships were no
exception. With three drivers entered, and two winning the
finals for their classes, the event was nothing short than
impressive.
AJ Whisler of the
FirstKart USA team was the lone TaG Senior competitor. The
seasoned driver was able to have a very successful weekend
finishing top-three in both heat races. To top it off
Whisler won the Final event on his MMS-tuned
Parilla/Leopard.
TaG Cadet driver
Flinn Lazier competed in both Cadet 1 (MMS/Gazelle) and
Cadet 2 (MMS/Comer) classes. The start of the weekend was a
breeze, qualifying 1st in Cadet 1 and 2nd
in Cadet 2. With bad fuel during part of the weekend, much
work was done before the final events. Lazier would finish
Cadet 2 in 2nd with a fast time of the Final.
“I really had a
great weekend and all the MMS drivers did a great job,” said
Doug Sharp, engine builder and tuner for MMS. “The TaG
engine is such a strong program in this country. I think
that the way we finished at the TaG Worlds proves our
packages are fast.”
MMS will next be
attending the STARS Final next weekend, and then off to the
Super SuperNationals. Anyone interested in the MMS services
